They might show a little US/UK bias as most of those "today's the day" websites are North American based...

Long time since I set up a challenge - Unfortunately I forgot the golden rules of setting up:

    1. Check that you have updated all the text from last year so it is not mentioning the wrong year...

    2. Construct the empty threads in reverse order so they end up in the forum views in the correct numerical order (because the newest one goes to the top of the list, all else being equal)

So, I've taken my April foolsday start.

Since I don't have E-mount extension tubes I foolishly put an OM mount extension tube between the speedbooster and the lens, fully expecting problems with vignetting and/or sharpness. To my surprize it worked quite well, even wide open the sharpness off center is still very acceptable. More to come on that later this month

I like the diverse submissions sofar, a painterly shadow, a glowing flower and some razor sharp strings. Looking forward to more.
Mind the bandwidth of others, don't link pictures larger then 1024 wide or 960 pix high, see here

    Did my duty for today
Only realised I have to take notes of lens used and settings since both Helios 44m and Lensbaby Sweet 50 do not pass on full Exif data..
The start of the work shown in the challenge today is promissing, but I guess there is much more to come given the number of sign ups?

I'm off too, an interesting Day 1 so far! Just my luck to post my grab shot after Maffe's excellent toad photo...

Lots of great pics on day one, but agree Mikey2000 is my favourite so far. But he is often in a favourable position anyhow
