Two great shots, Josef!

I particularly like the first one - the monochrome processing, the contrast and the composition are excellent. I might have corrected the perspective a bit (you used the 12mm and pointed it up a bit?).

The mood is special - it somehow signals "in the desert" to me.

TFS!

James, thanks for the kind words, appreciated

Hello Harald, always great hearing from you. You are right it is the 12mm. The ultra wide is a favorite of mine and came in handy on this trip. I'm not sure about the perspective thing though. You hit the "BullsEye" w your mood!🎯 I was out there in the desert and sometimes High Desert for a couple of weeks. It was Great. Here's a shot that gives a little better feel for the place, late afternoon, I was exhausted and they were getting ready to kick me out. Late afternoon shadows. That is the actual color of that desert sky. No filters or pp, EV on 0, w 100 degrees heat, a super bright, glaring sun. The sun was often problematic.

All the Best________Josef

ps I've been losing pics it seems, maybe flickr transition problems
