Post marks printed, cards are waiting to be collected. Then a lot of handwriting (yay! what is handwriting? haven't done it for ages ). Hopefully I'll send them tomorrow. Or on Friday

OK, cards collected, stamps cut off and glued, but I'll be writing and addressing tomorrow - it's too late today.

Waldo,

Your postcard arrived in a very good condition. I'll try to post a scan tomorrow.

Thank you for the nice architectural card in B&W.

Yah! Congratulations James (clk230), your first card has travelled from Australia and landed safely in the UK:

Relatively unharmed, just a couple of scores lower right where the machinery has grabbed it most likely. There are also a few indentations and small nicks as it battled through the handling.

A real postcard image too with interesting foreground tree juxtaposed with the larger tree further back. And is that sea just off the edge of the land or is it all sky?

Thank you very much.

Brian

Who will be the first to show them here I wonder?

Got mine this morning! Its a photo of Normanton church in Rutland water. I've seen photos of this place before but never twigged that it was just the upper part you could see as the rest is under the reservoirs level, fascinating stuff!

The card reached me in more or less perfect condition, no marks or blemishes, I'll post a picture of it as I get more in the post, thanks Brian!

Obviously I had some trouble to translate "Plattenbau" into English. In the meantime I have learned what the correct description is: "large-panel-system building" (LPS). See the Wikipedia-article on this topic.

So excited to see postcards going out. Been busy recently, so I still haven't ordered mine. Worse, I've been struggling to get about 2000 pics off a dead SD card from this summer, so I may have a much smaller pool of pics to choose from. Still, I'm excited to order cards soon!

Hi Brian, it's ominous clouds that were threatening to get me very wet that day! Here's a link to the original.

Waldo, i made a scan of the picture - because the kit-zoom of the nex c3 was harming the lines - scan made at 600dpi on a non-minolta/sony-scanner - and made smaller in Gimp - This is better i believe (correct me if i'm wrong).
