My second card came this morning from Maccroft, It's a nice B&W shot from Gateshead Millenium bridge taken from the Newcastle Swing bridge. Unfortunately it has two big and a few small scuff marks on the front, probably from the sorting machines. I'll post a scan once I received a few more.

Thanks John

Is that really a 2014 stamp? And franked in Zwolle too.

Dank je wel, Peter!

Great to see the first card landed! You are welcome Howard!

The lightweight back is what I use if I want to frame pics, it keeps them from bubbling in the frame. The cutting of it, well, wasn't that tight and don't mention writing on the back! Did that but the next morning I could easily wipe the ink off. So I used whiteboard cleaner to remove the writing of every card and placed blanco stickers to write on. Quite a hassle

I bought the stamp brand new last wednesday and the cards where dumped at a postbox in Groningen. I have no explanation for stamping in Zwolle.

Apparently yours came in the same batch as mine Pieter
Also had Maccroft's card in the mailbox today, but heavily scuff marks on the front. Must have been a tough journey to cross the North sea.
It is a very nice picture from Warkworth castle, taken from 500m high from the air. It doesn't tell how John got up this high with the camera though.
A quick shot with the phone:

And the back:

Many thanks for sending it John!

It is a "sunrise shot just around the corner". It is nice to see you live in such a lovely corner...

It arrived absolutely undamaged! I am very surprise from the Israeli Post Office - typically they lose mail items, and so far I received 2 cards in a very clean and undamaged conditions. Here is a phone picture of the card:

Fred, it is a bit dark, as we both complained. I also added white frame to my cards, and it might be that the white frames makes it feel dark. Anyways, I generally like "dark" photos so I am happy with the postcard I got!

Thank you, Fred!

You are welcome Shay! Glad you like it.
I had two different cards this year, so still a surprise here what the second one will look like
Looking forward to yours!

Today I received my second card in a very fine state, send from Poland by Mirek. Only 2 corners are a bit bend. The pics represent the national musical forum at Wroclaw. Thanks a lot Mirek (MiPr)!

In yesterday's mail, from pegelli (with a nice message), Antwerp skyline at night

A slightly snubbed corner, no smudges/scratches/scrapes, USPS barcode at bottom of image. (but glare in my iPhone shot of the card)

Today a card from ADub128 showing well executed panning photo of funny cars at the AAA speedway in Pomona, California. Many thanks Art! It arrived in very good condition with just one corner slightly bent. There is a faint barcode on the photo side as well as the back.

Looks like my 4th card made it safely to clk230 with surprisingly little damage! Very nice ... the card traveled roughly 8000 miles as the crow flies, about 1/3 of the way around the world.

Here's my original pic. I shot this several weeks back at the NHRA Finals held in Pomona, CA. If you have never been to the drag races in person, go. The sound and speed are unreal.

Yesterday a lovely card arrived from MiPr, a typtych no less, large format and with custom Dyxum 'stamp'. In good if not excellent condition and no sign of abuse in the international mail system.

Many thanks, Mirek!

I love MiPr's large format cards. But, they don't fit in my little 4x6 portfolio though!

I'm glad the cards are arriving safely. As I mentioned in a previous post, there seems to be less damage on the cards this year.

I had to bring the scanner out for something else so I scanned the two I have received so far:

Henley beach from James (clk230):

Gateshead Millenium bridge from John (Maccroft):

Especially John's card seems to have had a tough trip through the postal sorting machines
