Beautiful image of an ugly event. And to think that if they'd used an UWA you'd still see nothing but fire.

that pictured quite well what was going on here. I had to capture the image for myself for all times. I felt every emotion when I saw it.
It was actually close to us here in the Bay Area. The smoke came right into the Golden Gate for well over a week. It was thick and it lay heavy down among the buildings. One of the rare times there was no wind. It wasn't easy but our hearts were w the town it completely destroyed and the folks who lost more than everything.

I can understand your emotion Coast.
As stiuskr said, a beautiful image of an ugly event.
I have been wondering of any of our members are directly involved in this disaster. It must be teribble to loose everything in these fires..

I think a lot of people don't realize how tragic that Camp fire was, the media says that Paradise (not Pleasure, CA you leaf raking nim-wit) was destroyed but fail to mention it had 27,000 residents. The death toll is high but taking that number into context it could have been so much worse.
