Peekayoh, congrats! I know how it feels because mine arrived just before lunch! It certainly feels nice in the hand - the extra height in the grip feels good!
Buttons and controls feel a bit different to the a77, needing a bit of a "bigger push" to activate. (reassuring against accidental presses) The evf seems much quicker to activate compared on the a77, especially with the screen turned inwards. AF Range function seems fine with my mino 24-105. My sigma 70-200/2.8 EX DG MAcro HSM II works properly. Auto ISO in M mode! Yay! The silent wheel is very smooth to operate... I need to pop to the shops then off to work soon. Drat! |

Oh boy I bet it's so cool! Yum I love that "new camera" vibe... and yours is a very special one. Congrats!
I know right? Try being MidWest where very few Sony dealers even exist. Our closest rep is three states away in Texas. Two months behind everyone for new Sony seen on the shelf, and only one store that will carry it. The other store just got their Sony dealership last year and they have a hard time selling anything Sony. They won't be carrying a99 in stock. They're too busy taking NEX-7 returns, and selling them used with 18-200's for around $1k. Great used prices from this store. They just have no appreciation or investment into Sony. Jeez, last year they sold a hardly used a900/grip/24-70ZA/135ZA for $2K. Crazy. |
