Opening day for the Blue Angels season, El Centro, Ca, 2018, almost was a bust. Rain, clouds, and just not good weather, but they pulled it off none the less. So it was a horrible gray day, first time with the A77ii and Bigma, raining, wasn't able to pull the gear out the bag for a while, but then the rain stopped.......

I usually shoot in sunshine and blue skies, so my editing skills are very limited when it comes to "gray" conditions. Just not my thing and no experience.

I bought the A77ii for airshows and the improved focusing system over the A900 and A850, the only two other cameras that I have. I bought used, and right now I would say it was worth it, but I'll wait till a sunny airshow arrives and then my opinion may change.

@ JT: Interesting subjects, but they could have benefited from a slighly shorter shutter time?

Came across this excellent short you tube of the B-36 Peacemaker I'd like to share
Its probably an out take of the Cold War era movie "Strategic Air Command" starring Jimmy Stewart
If your a fan of the Peacemaker this is a must see. You could say its a "hybrid" plane but probably not in todays sense of the word.

6 Turning, 4 Burning - https://youtu.be/9FJVxtTNjJk

There are only 4 in existence today. This is my photo of 4 burnin 6 turnin. It was a dream of a lifetime seeing one
Its right here in California, Castle Air Museum, Atwater

click on to this pic to see my album of the museum and many more shots of the "magnificent" Peacemaker
