Last year I had my A700 serviced for controlwheelproblems and AF problems.

When I received it back after a few weeks it worked fine. The AF was spot on again. I just found out the (serious) problem is back. It frontfocusses a lot. Given the fact the A700 is my back-up body on which I don't want to spend much money anymore, I would like to try to adjust the AF myself.

Is there anyone who did this before? Does anyone has (or made)a manual? I could only find this one on Dyxum, but is is an oldy.

Thanks in advance!

I have done it on mine and it was fairly straightforward as long as you take your time and are very careful about keeping track of your turns to not get a tilt going.

The biggest caution first would be to make sure that this is not a focus issue with just one or two lenses. I found that while I did do a beneficial global correction, much of what I had been noticing was actually more attributable to just two lenses, one being my 50mm 1.4 when it was wide open.

Somewhere I think I still have a couple of focus charts I downloaded that I could send you if you decide to give it a go and don't have one.
