Great start sol.Metallc, you were fast! And I get to start commenting.

I love the idea, very clever, and I especially like the DYXUM at the bottom.

It is still Saturday here, so I have to wait a few hours before posting a picture. Still time to think of a subject...

I'm starting with film, only camera within my reach is my Dynax 7 with Fuji Superia iso 200. The A700 is at home and I'm at my parents place.
I've decided to pick the Minolta 24/2.8 over the Zenitar 16/2.8 fisheye, AF is nice and 24mm is wide enough.

sol.Metallc, didn't know they made a boardgame out of Word Feud.

Missing hood or other weird Minolta stuff? PM me. Maybe I can help. #dyxum at IRCnet.

Thanks guys...

The idea came up during the Earth Hour yesterday. That's why there are candles on the photo.

Our alphabet (slovenian) doesn't have letters like Q, W, X and Y and I also ran out of letters M and U so I had to improvise little by dismantling my keyboard for a while . But IMHO it fitts this forum to have Dyxum word in black.

And after all isn't this all about FUN, FUN and FUN ?

How small is small?
Well, if it's bigger than 23x16mm, then it is huge!

@Slo.Metallc
Ooo, you got up before me

Great shot and idea in the right time as all was dark.

IMHO a bit darker or a small vignetting would bring the words more in focus. But thats just me.

@Alan
Love the blurriness and composition.

What you decorating for ?

Hi SvenJTD, it is a challenge for you, not a challenge for the community. So if you are cheating you cheat yourself not the community – it is up to you.

it was intended as a joke Robbie. If I wanted to alter it, I would have done it in the first place.
And to paraphrase a chap from Austria I know "Nichts gutes kommt mit mogeln" (nothing good comes with cheating).

If the picture is a violation - Ill take it down and put one from today.

I'm assuming all this seriousosity so early on is some kind of elaborate April Fools?!

That aside - great first shots all. The sun is splitting the pavement here today so I'm off out on my bike with camera in tow. See y'all soon!
C&C always appreciated

+1; it's all about fun, though all old shots go out the window; challenge starts at midnight on 1st. If it's a shot a day it's best to be strict on yourself - even if it means a crap shot of the front room at 11:59pm cos you haven't had a chance all day!

Yes, the STF is really something! I'm very happy for the excuse to use it every day for a whole month! I'm going to have a lot of outtakes too!
