Not very pretty building, but pretty morning.
Overcast by noon and flood warnings currently, as is the trend.

I've been on the Somerset levels today with my Son, he's had the water lapping at the door for the last couple of weeks after the flooding. At least he hasn't been marooned as have some poor souls.

The "biggest ever" pumping operation is under way on the Levels and, to add to the 20 permanent stations, 16 extra pumps are helping to disperse the water at a rate of 10 tonnes per second. Even if it does not rain, it will still take a month to remove the excess water i.e. till after Christmas and that's assuming no more rain. Fat chance!!!

You can just about see one of them in this picture.

I wasn't too happy about my Oresund picture today (a pity since I almost froze my fingers off trying to get a decent snap), so I ended up documenting my new project. I may ask for help for the alpha convertion later

Heritage

a900, Minolta 50/1.4RS + Minolta close-up lens No. 2, f/11, 20sec, ISO100. Light painted with a flash light obviously.

You can check out my Oresund attempt in the outtakes
