Back to the 50's !!!!! ( week 50 2012 )

Starts on the 10th (Monday).

This morning I remembered to take some film out of the freezer, wouldnt be doing much without that. Looks like my XD wont pass customs in time, so Yashica FX3 & SRT100 it is.

The "formulas" will be:
- FX3 + ML 50mm 2.0 + Ilford FP4+ @ ISO160
- SRT100 + Rokkor PF 55mm 1.9 & MD 50mm 2.0 + Kodak TX400 @ ISO400
- a35 + Maxxum 50mm 1.7

Hooray ! Looks like some good test shots are already up and lots of folks involved, I bet the talk threads just nuts.

I'm in with a 50/1.7 and a 50/3.5 macro.
And maybe something else if I can finish the purchase.

55 in and 3 days to start !!!

I'm in too. All are converted or adapted to maxxum mount. That makes a different lens each day.

Takumar 50mm f1.8
Nikkor 50mm f1.2 ais
Minolta 50mm f1.4 AF x2
Minolta 50mm f2.8 macro AF
Minolta 58mm f1.2 rokkor

Here are my 3 entries. Unfortunately i've never shot film so i wouldn't know how to even set up the x-700, it's before my time. But if i do figure it out it will be my goal to post those pictures.

My goal for this challenge will be to not do any PP at all, and no cropping as well. It will force me to think of every shot before I hit the shutter.

From left to right, Minolta MD 50 1.7. Sony 50 1.8. Sigma 50 1.4. I may throw the 16-50 into the mix as well, after all it does have a lens lock which to this point I found completely pointless, especially because it's so friggin' difficult to engage in the first place!

Now that things have settled a little, I can engage into this challenge.
