I haven't owned either, so my comments probably aren't fair, but i believed the f/2.4 version to be better optically... But even then, there was a lot of sample variation. Getting a good one can be hit and miss i here. Hope your lens does good for you though :).

I've toyed a bit with my father's Flektogon 2.8/35 today. First of all, I don't quite seem to be able to focus to infinity - I'll have to read in detail how people have repaired their M42 adapters. However, with the adapter as is, Flektogon makes quite a nice macro. :}
