   In the Oldcodger thread, several members suggested a fund to recompense joerun for his loss -  The Admin Group is fully sympathetic to the plight of joerun, but it does not see itself as having a direct role in starting or managing such a "recovery fund".

If an Admin member was to act as a collection point then Paypal would clip the ticket several times, and small donations would become almost meaningless. What we suggest is that members who want to help joerun out PM him for his Paypal details. I am sure he can be placed on trust to warn in a post if he happens to receive close to the full amount scammed.

To officially act as a collection agency could be viewed as a potential scam in itself in some jurisdictions, and also opens the door for "copy-cat" scams in the future.
