IIRC, even at 24mm on FF you will notice a partial effect of a CPL, so just don't use it at the wide end. If this is of any help: I curse my slim B+W every time I am taking it off a lens, because there is hardly any surface to grab it, and the slim frame is more likely to bend ever so slightly under pressure when unscrewing it, which makes it bind. The non-slim version should be better there, and I wish I had that version instead. If you lived in the USA, I'd offer you a swap, but with the shipping cost involved... |

thanks... that's encouraging...
i just learned B+W has another series. thinner than F-Pro series, but thicker than the Slim series. so it still provides front threading. |

FWIW, I sold my slim B+W MRC because I need one with front threads. A Marumi is on its way and I will report somehow if I find anything worth reporting.
I am also working on a hattrick, which incorporates the Marumi. Stay tuned... |

Just to throw another into the mix, have you not considered the Sony polarizer? They have Zeiss T* coatings on, just like your lens. We use a mixture of Hoya Pro-1, B+W and Sony filters, but on my Zeiss lens I like to have a Zeiss filter because I'm OCD like that
That said, B+W supposedly use Schott glass - which is I think owned by Zeiss, so horses for courses perhaps

First of all, I spelled it wrong. Should have been hat trick. Applied to my specific idea, it was to be the creation of an inexpensive ND Fader. Unfortunately, it didn't work as expected, and you can read more bout it in my other thread here |

Be aware that the slim line of filters don't accommodate lens caps. They might give you a cheap cover or you might decide a lens hood is enough protection.
