Day 18 Day Prime strikes again!
I had forgotten I have a E 18-55 kit lens ... I was sitting on the toilet this morning (I do my best thinking there ...) and I realized I have it somewhere, so I climbed on a chair and looked at the back of the shelf, and found it! - so here is the day.

A time slip back to Day 17 and return of the tiny monster lens at its "long" end: a7 plus Yasuhara Nanoha Super Macro at 5x setting and f16. The first two are uncropped, #3 is trimmed at each side by about 5%.

#4 is a pixel-peeping center crop of #2 to show the preposterous sharpness of fine detail this odd lens can actually capture if all goes really well = the nanometer thin DOF lines up with more than just a sliver of a subject's surface (you'll probably see it on your display at about 1 screen pixel per 2 image pixels).

1. Swamp Fly Face

2. Crab (spider) Face

3. Not a blind monkey mask but the furry mane of a hibernating moth

4. Crab Cutie Cropped Closely

For a successful technology reality has to take precedence over public relations, as nature cannot be fooled
The bitter taste of poor quality lingers much longer than the sweet smell of low prices
