I hadn't looked at my team since I initially selected them. Didn't help that I've had Tevez in this whole time.      Just made my free trades and hopefully have a better squad fielded so I might gain some ground now.

I expected Man Utd to give Fergie a happy 70th birthday so captained Nani rather than Van Persie

I said it before and got punished but I think I'm starting to get a hang of this now. 63 points this week and have 7 players in the overall dream team. Played a wild card a couple of weeks go when I had 3 longtime injuries and Ba playing the African Nations Cup. I have a feeling that my best weeks are to come

knock on wood

I've had a couple of really good weeks, chose the optimal captain but still not made any progress against the leader. I don't even know who he is, i.e. I can't associate his FF name with a Dyxum name.

I've not had Ba this season, resisted buying him on his return from ACON in case he'd lost form. I'm happy with my current strikers but still have the nagging doubt that I should have Ba, and while I dither his price increases.

Thank you Clint Dempsey, saved me from another disaster. 15 points from him and I managed to get 1 point more than the average score. Climbed some in all leagues. I don't know about Ba, haven't produced since he got back from the African Cup, -2 as my captain this week was not very good. I think he is ready to leave my team, haven't made up my mind yet but I think Fulham's new russian will end up in my team instead of Ba before next round!

+1 to that!! Actually Silva helped me out too by not playing; Dempsey as Vice captain stepped in in Silva's abscence to double up the points tally. With none of my forwards scoring, a midfielder getting sent off and a defender scoring an own goal it was looking pretty horrific.

Come on tricky's squirrels!

My main aim every year is to outscore my brother. Last year he beat me for the first time at FF, and he was ahead earlier this year. The turning point was his slowness in getting RVP, by the time he succumbed I was way ahead. The gap is about 170 points so he's unlikely to catch me now.

I'm not too optimistic about next week though.

So, decided to trade Ba for Fulhams Pogrebnyak. Newcastle plays Gunners away and wont get much opportunities and Fulham plays the Vile (Villa) away and new star Pogrebnyak will get more scoring chanses, I hope

Also I would like to celebrate that the Baggies, after the win against the blues, are on safe ground for relegation. 10-1 in three games are something that I never thought they could do. Now called the widowmakers, 2 coaches has been sacked in 3 weeks after playing WBA. Tough game against Man U next but we are safe and have a shot at becoming best in the midlands. Better than nothing right?

Come on you Baggies

A big turnround for WBA after that disappointing start. It's ironic that a former Baggies manager is now in charge at Chelsea following that game.

York City are in the Conference play-off final at Wembley on 20th May, a victory would see the club back in the football league. Defeat would lead to gloom, despondency etc.
