For me it has to be Sony's 70-400mm G, with the crop factor the camera and lens are a dream combo.

Now that I think about it, you are right. It is a great combo. The crop factor makes it a killer at the long end and pairing it with a 1.4 TC gives you even reach

Hi everybody,

I have the 16-50 f2.8 SSM and the beer can for my A77. Both seem to be working well at this stage. I am looking at a fast prime and a wide angle in the 11-16mm range. I already have two bodies, so can change camera rather than changing lens.

I may even train the wife up on the A100.

Regards
Graham

If you know what it is and think you want it-- you do.

My new favorite is the ∑70mm macro. Quirky, but super sharp wide open and wonderful bokeh.

I think the Tokina is a great lens for wide angle. I've researched it and researched it to death. Everyone likes it that has owned it and I've been trying to "save my pennies" as well for it.

Ridiculously sharp is what I hear, lol. I have a similar issue with the Tam90. I love that it's so sharp but sometimes ladies do not like to show up that sharp on print.

Hi,
My favorite lens for the A77 is the 16-50. I use it for 80-90% of all my shots.
My favorite primes are the Sony 35 f1.8 and the Minolta 135 f2.8.
