Hi all...

I have got two light stands and need hot shoe holders... Cheapish .. I have not seen any on eby or amazon that are compatible with Sony... Other than buying an adapter I think..

Can anyone in uk put me in the right direction for hot shoe holder for the stands that work with Sony or what adapter i can use if any on the hot shoe holder..

Many thanks

Debra

See FlashZebra.com, there's a couple options for Sony (and others) flash adapters there and elsewhere on the site you can get some umbrella holders too.

I use a Minolta OS-1100. This was originally intended to allow off camera cables to be attached to a flashgun but has the advantage of having a threaded connection on the base which can be screwed onto a stand or tripod. Some stands come with a threaded top (large or small standard sizes) or can be easily adapted to one.

The OS-1100 cannot be bought new, but there are cheap alternatives available (try Ebay).

Hope this helps.
