Cyclone Cook is visiting NZ at the moment. Fortunately for those of us in Auckland, it took a slightly more westerly path.

I took advantage of the low-tide (and the evac of work earlier in the day) to get some pictures in. Here's a couple of its edge going past, with Rangitoto Island on the horizon. (I was hoping for a little more dramatic weather).

Wanted to say "stay safe" but Cyclone Cook left and I noticed no mention of human casualties in the news.

Not that dramatic weather, still a nice picture!

Thanks- it did do a lot of damage further east to us, but fortunately there were no human casualties.

I was hoping it would be a bit closer to us to stir up the waves and produce dramatic skies. I'm sure there will be another one...
