Thanks, I suspected that. I guess it was a bad idea to machine a relief(in the adapter) for the boss on a 35mm tessar with a ~0.2mm boss :) The others I have seen are pentacon with not quite as high boss. It ended up focusing a little to far beyond infinity for my liking... oh well, nothing a couple of shims or perhaps even a layer of paint won't fix, it was a cheap adapter anyway.
