I am looking for a M42 adapter for my Sony A500 which has the aperture pin flange i.e. to push the aperture pin in.
I ordered one from Amazon which stated it had the flange, but when it arrived it was flangeless (is that a word)? If anyone knows where one of these elusive products can be purchased, could you please post the link. Many thanks Stephen. |

In case you're still looking for this...
Seller weakpotoman on Ebay [http://stores.ebay.com/weakpotoman] has chipped adapters that both have or don't have flanges. One is black and the other is silver. I can't remember which is which. They might not have both kinds posted on Ebay at any given time, but if you contact the seller, I bet they can find the correct kind and get it to you. You can also pay a few bucks extra to get the EXIF data on the adapter edited to correctly match the lens you're using. Ian |

I've tried a couple of those adapters with flang, unfortunately they do not work very well, most of my M42-lenses hits flang section of the adapter before they are fully screwed in so it can't focus to infinity.
It's usually better to lock the pin by inserting a small plastic tube on the inside of the lens or block it in its innermost position in any other way. Johan |
