Thanks Kiklop, that will be wonderful to have these links in one place!
A couple more - this one is good for older cameras you might acquire while amassing your M42 lens collection, instructions! http://www.butkus.org/chinon/index.html Here is another link with excellent lens and camera history - might be linked also from one of the given sites above, not sure. http://www.taunusreiter.de/Cameras/index.html Here's another one I like; http://mattdentonphoto.com/cameras/index.html Edited by kathyk - 08 February 2007 at 06:47 |

I would like to add this one:
http://www.m-fortytwo.info/ViewingOptions.php You find database with Pentax M42 lenses and cameras. One could see what version of the Takumar at what SN to find. It is useful reference for eBay auctions, where the sellers do not always share the full info, but from the picture you could see the SN. Thanks Kiklop! |

I was looking at that earlier today. From that you can deduce that the thickness of the flange on any 42mm to minolta AF adapter should be .96mm M42 screw M42x1 thread 45.46 Minolta AF bayonet 44.50 But it also states Pentax/Practica M42x1 thread 45.46 add allowance for film = 45.50 Which could explain why some adapters are made slightly too thick |

I do get a blank page as well now.
I don't know when that started, as I haven't visited the site lately (at least not this week ).
I hope it will be back soon... Edited by Fanch - 02 October 2007 at 04:46 |

Nice!
I was seriously thinking about creating a new site about m42 lenses since it was down for several weeks. |
