Is the "fn" menu as before, with wb, af mode etc settings easily accessible?

I pulled out my A200 for the first time in over a year last night and powered up. The "fn" button works in the same way. The reason the A200 is easier is that there are less options once you have hit the "fn" button ! So less moving around to get to where you need to be.

Apart from the steady shot there's nothing much else.

Thanks a lot guys for all your input, I do have A450 now and have sold A200. I'm still getting used to it...A200 was love at first sight, A450 will take more time...

I do miss all those buttons...especially on the left side of LCD.

I shoot RAW only now, because the JPEGs the camera produces are not my cup of tea.

ISO 200 is also a bit of dissapointment.

Actually only the live view is somehow improvement for me, I bought a proper tripod and for shots like this from few hours ago ->

...the MF live view is pretty good

I don't regret buying it, but if I could've tested it before buying, I would probably wait and save for some a5xx, maybe even SLT...

No its not, but if you can live with smaller OVF, 14 mpix CCD inside A380 is one of best ever made (at least for APS-C). I would take A380 over anything from Sony, except A900/A850.

Have you ever tried an a580?

Why do you think the A380's IQ is so much better?

What I meant, is that ISO 200 is the lowest you can choose. I'd like to be able to shoot cleaner files, when I have enough light...

Cleaner files would be nice, but its more about slower shutter speeds without using an ND filter for me.

So the A200 @ ISO100 was cleaner than the A450 @ ISO200?

The A450 files at ISO200 are perfectly clean.

However, with minimum ISO 200 I sometimes had the problem of reaching max shutter speed of 1/4000 in bright daylight, so I had to stop down to at least F3.5.

Any examples? ^^ How about the AA filter? I thought the series 2 and 3 have a really strong one.

I used to have a A350 as my first DSLR, and upgraded it to A500 at later stage, and my initial thought was exactly the same, at lower ISO, the A350 was certainly much sharper, but where it looses is when it goes above ISO 400, where the A500 became much cleaner and the winner.

There was few threads in the past and I think the conclusion was that CCD is superior in lower ISO, but where it fails is, the higher ISO.

More experienced members which know more about the sensor technology, I guess explain it better.
