^^ Interesting how different people enjoy art, the couple in the lower left really seem lost in it, especially the woman

Today, my original idea was to visit fairly new Amos Rex museum, but since there was a looong queue in front and I didn't fancy the idea of waiting in cold weather to get into crowded museum, I thought that why not visit Kiasma Museum of Modern Art across the street instead.

1. The building's architechture itself is quite interesting, like this stairwell

The current third floor exhibition There and Back Again showcased contemporary art from the Baltic region with works by 26 artists from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland and Russia.

2. Like these 3D paintings by Jenni Yppäri

3. Karel Koplimets: Case No. 13. Waiting for the Ship of Empties, 2017
(and yes, that is a seaworthy vessel, the artist did use it to travel from Porkkala in Finland to Tallinn, Estonia - the screens did show footage of that journey and building process prior that)

4. In front: Kris Lemsalu: Star, 2016
and behind on the wall: Tanya Akhmetgalieva: Syndrome No. 5, 2012

5. Tiina Ketara: Series of Hystery, 1991

6. Miķelis Fišers: Fasists Sending Yetis into Outer Space, 2016,
Full Moon, 2014,
Amenhotep's Androids Vandalize Nazi Base on Moon, 2016,
Walk in the Moonlight, 2016,
Yuri Gagarin's Heroic Death in Antarctica, 2016

7. Maria Tobola: Amber Kebab, 2016

The fourth and fifth floor then contained exhibition of works by Ann Veronica Janssens.

8. Magic Mirror Blue, 2012,
Magic Mirror Green, 2014,
Magic Mirror Pink #2, 2013

9. Orange Sky Blue, 2006

10. Also in a staircase behind a closed door, there seemed to be an art performance going on, although I couldn't find any more detailed information about it anywhere, although the sign on the door showed the name "ovi ei käytössä"[1]

[1] Finnish for "door not in use".
