I'm not sure it is a new picture - I've heard the sensor size mentioned/suggested, and the ISO, but 10 fps seems a little high for a prosumer model... (wouldn't complain mind.. :-)

It is not new, having been mentioned here and at DPR, along with some other broadly similar "forecasts".

As to its accuracy, I believe it to be close. Read some of the other threads here.

And welcome to Dyxum.

just got a reply from sony

Dear Mr. Lewis,

thanks for your mail. We know and really appreciate that a lot of people wait for our new DSLR camera. As we do not comment on new products, I can't provide you with more information for the time being. But as already announced, the new line-up will definitely be available this year. So, please bear with us!

Thanks a lot!

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / with kind regards

As I have written somewhere else, Sony is collecting their employees in order to give training about new cameras coming.

This was found on the Sony blog commentaries.

In a German internet forum one user posted today that the photomagazine
“Fotospiegel” from Switzerland says in it’s new edition that the two new
cameras will be annonced at Sony World 07 (16.09. - 20.09.2007).

“Fotospiegel” is the former Minolta magazine that now continues to be operated
by Sony Switzerland.

Does this mean release/avalibility or just anouncement ?
