BertH, that's a pass. I like how the background blends the water and the water surface. Object stands out nicely against that, allthough for me it might have been a bit more sharp and contrasty (more "pop"), but as a demonstration of the HK technique it's certainly sufficient.

That's a pass Bruce. Might have had more impact with some larger dof but it's good as for demonstrating the HK technique

Thanks for the pass Pieter.
To tell the truth, I didn't actually have this assignment specifically in mind when I took the shot, so perhaps I will have another go anyway with a different subject. I agree re DoF. Even at f22 there is not enough of the flower in focus. I don't think it helps that the focal point also seems a little too far back. |
