@greek_alpha: Sorry, Evangelos, the subject is underexposed. For this assignment the subject should be properly exposed against the dark background. Please try again.

Cheers... Brian

@greek_alpha: Thanks for the poke, Evangelos. Your entry did indeed find its way between my everwidening cracks. You get a pass. The LK treatment and unsual composition both work well here.

Cheers... Brian

Spot on bigsi. Well executed and I like the reflection a lot.
It's a pass for me.

My first attempts at this assignment. Both taken a couple of weeks ago, but other commitments have prevented me from posting here until now.

Both very nice shots Andy, but not a real demonstration of the Low Key approach. There is imo no extra emotional impact from a mainly dark but still contrasty image that we're looking for in this assignment.

Thanks for the feedback Pegelli, I see what you mean. I've had another go, shot this afternoon - is this any better?

That's more like it Andy, the dark surface behind nicely blends into the background and the metal rings provide a good contrast. Foreground table might be a tad too light for my liking but that's nitpicking. So you pass.

Taken at the Jesuits church in Vienna. I liked it so much that I put it straight into other assignment (and in retrospection a wrong one - it did fail), it has been slightly PP and cropped from right (if I recollect properly)

LKB, for me the low key aspect is blown [pun intended] by the large blown out panel behind the altar. So pls. try again.

I have also hidden your submissions in Foreground interest and symmetry. You can only do one assignment at a time and only move to another one after completing the one you started (see the rules). We'll deal with those submissions once you have passed Low Key.
