I am sorry to say that after an initially positive reaction, I went back and looked at the rules.

Your shot has a mix of colours, with none being dominant. So please try again.

I must have misinterpreted the rules. Because when i read this line in the OP
This is the 4th NEW Intermediate photographic assignment: Primary colours
I saw the word colours as plural. That lead me to the idea of using light painting gloves that comprise only 3 colors - RGB - and by using movements demonstrates how those 3 primary colors merge to form every other color.

I will try again, focusing on making a single primary color more dominant this time.

H rticknor, if you read the OP and the first two posts below (basically asking the same question) it should hopefully be clear what we mean. If I look at your picture it's "blue", but there's too many other colours (including several non primary) competing for attention. So I support Cam's judgememt for the assignment, however in general it's a cool shot and I like the effect of the moving coloured light.

That's fast rticknor

First is a definite pass. Can't get any more primary than that I would think.

In principle I like the Rose picture better, but for "primary colour" it's a bit too pastel for my taste, but since you need one to pass you can go on to your next assignment.

It's a pass Stormvogel. Compositionally the picture is a bit "messy" (hope you understand what I mean) but it's clear the primary yellow is quite dominant and nicely complemented by the dark blue.

Thank you Peggelli,

It was just for the colour,
I saw it from my ship and could not leave it, to get an other compostion.
Thats also the reason, why I toke the foto with aps 600 mm.

Greetings Willem.

Always in a good mood here.

Here's my attempt.

Taken at a sleepy, off-season cornish village (just the way I like it).
I'm using an uncalibrated laptop monitor to upload this, and the walls are meant to be a pale cream. How does it look to you?
Thanks in advance

It depends on what you mean by "cream". If you intend a neutral grey slightly short of pure white, you're pretty good. If you intend a slightly yellowish tinge, maybe not.

On my (calibrated) monitor, the walls look nearly neutral. Doing a quick check in Ps indicates nearly (to, in a few spots, perfectly) neutral as well. The level is slightly below pure white (roughly 225-230), but not much. In fact, that's pretty close to what some treat as the cutoff separating pure white from blown/clipped highlights (though you clearly have retained texture in at least quite a bit of a the frame).
    Later,

    Jerry.

Thanks Jerry, appreciate your help.

Just double checked the levels in lightroom: r 89.5, g 89.1 and b 89.7.
So it should look neutral but I think the gamma is off. Time to re-calibrate!
Make it a great day
