@JamesD

When I gave you the pass on your shots I apparently didn't check the exif, and when I looked again this morning I saw they were Nex shots

According to the rules it's A-mount only in assignments, but given we've only noticed so late we'll let the pass stand.

@Andy81: I think it's nearly symmetrical but not quite (for instance look where the sides of the path touch the border) so while the idea is great the execution is not there, and given it's an intermediate assignment we are asking you to try again.

@easty1: your self critique is spot-on . The prominent feature is a pattern and not the (point) symmetry so also for you pls. have another go at this assignment.

Finally nice sunny day after what seams like month of fog, rain, overcast and snow. Here is my try at symmetry. Hope that asymmetry of evergreens on the left and leafless hardwoods on the right helps to strengthen symmetry of the church. C&C is welcome.

So my first attempd for this assignment,

I say in the car stop here I see something for simmetry.
The doors off a barn.
I have to take a lower angle, because off a tree hanging over.

This one was a shot for a open goal. But with the A77, and with my glasses. I can not see so good in the viewfinder, with strong sunlight. So the framing, is not so exact.

I'll give you a pass on the first one Stormvogel. the second is symmetrical but a bit of a messy grab shot. Also the very slight keystone distortion doesn't help the composition either. The first has some appeal, but also using a program like Lightroom or PTLens to correct the "falling lines" would probably enhance the strong geometry we like in this assignment.

bence8810, great shot and a clear pass for the assignment.

My second attempt at this assignment:

Sony dsc

Hopefully this will be good enough - I could only take it handheld, so I don't think it's bang on.
