Oops, this one slipped under the radar and sat unnoticed here for some time. Sorry about that Bert.
The assignments calls for : "Take a shot where the impact relies on featuring a repeated pattern." There's two distinct patterns in the shot (the grid and the railing) however for me these patterns in this shot are overwhelmed by the lines drawing you to the end of the pier. So therefore pls. try again. Also pls. first finish this assignment before finishing "macro w/o macro" as you remember the rule that there can only be one assignment be active. |

That's a pass Bert, nice pattern, immediately grabbing the attention and put in a nice context.
Now on to your "macro w/o macro" assignment |

A Fisker! Do you have some more images of the car itself (sorry for the post being out of context from the assignment - I will probably have a go at the assignment sometime soon...!)

@Tjeiken
No, sorry. This is the only shot I took of the Fisker Surf at the IAA. This car was between a column and some stairs and it was very crowded. And the design of it isn't really my thing. |

Dynaxdude, that's a pass. I like how you've played with dof and still show a pattern as a very prominent compositional element. Well done!

OK, finally I have some time for looking at the assignments after a very busy week of work.
That's a pass Willem. Well composed and the 261 shield gives it a nice break and tension. |

![]() My try. I was going for kinda geometric, pattern photo with rainy "mood" in that. Apart from obvious pattern theres one hidden (thanks to resizing) cause that curtain over window has net pattern itself. :D Well, hope theres enough patterns for observer..
