Thank you Cameron.
It's only a extra for texture assignments, not for the pass.

Greetings Captain Willem.

@photoimpact. The assignment asks for the subject to evoke the feeling of touching it. I can certainly "feel" the rock and pebbles in this shot so it's a pass. On to the next one

Captain Willem, your photo is no longer showing. Any chances of bringing it back?

Obelix, both have a "tactile texture" feeling, so it's a pass.

My attempt at texture. I was actually after some birds on a lake when I spotted this seed head on a bullrush. I thought the soft delicate texture on the head was great and it actually cannot be completely delicate as we have has some strong winds. So the question is - does this count here?

Also have included a second of same shot, same parameters except faster shutter speed (1/600)to underexpose, though I think the first pic shows the texture better of the head.

Hols, the assignment calls for : Subjects need to be well lit and captured in order to evoke the sensations that touching them would bring.

Especially the first does that, you can really "feel" the soft wooly texture in there. Also the backlight makes it a strong picture.

@ mark.t, that's a pass, I can really "feel"the texture of the bark and moss the way the light falls on it.

Pegali

Thanks for that - will keep on trying out these tasks - very good idea. Makes you think a little bit more with what you are doing.

Here is my attempt at this assignment. I'm almost on the fence about it myself. I figured I would see what others might think.

No need to be on the fence, the shot has a very tactile feeling of texture so for me it's a pass.
