If Dyxum doesn't have a regional meeting thread that covers where you are, post a request for a new thread to be set up here. Please word the request in such a way that we can use it as the first posting in any resulting thread (that way it gets your name on it and not ours!)

So I attempted a Toronto, Canada area meeting once before, and there wasn't must response. I figured I'd make a second attempt.

I'm open to ideas.

Since I am not sure how many members live in the Berlin area I could imagine a regional meeting bringing together people from the Eastern part of Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic (there exists a border triangle). One could even think about expanding the regional focus to Austria and Slovakia, but that would probably exceed the "day-trip" format.

Whatever format, I would prefer such a meeting over a German meeting which - because of the large distances involved - would have to be regionally limited (enough people?) or again exceeding the "day-trip" format.

I'm not sure I would want to volunteer as a responsible party, but I am curious of the interest in the Washington DC metro area.

Anyone in Russia that is keen on a small Dyxum meet? We do not need to be many, and we do not need to travel long distances for photogenic places. If you only have time for a cup of coffee, in a cozy place, that would still, for me, qualify for a meet. But ofcourse, we need to take a picture or two.

I, and my girlfriend, will travel through Russia (Finish border to Vladivostok) from 27th of November until 22nd of December. Our itinerary has a lot of openings or possibilities for rearrangements. However, we need to keep up a certain pace to manage Vladivostok until the 22nd.

I've been interested in trying to get together some people in the Mid-Atlantic US.

There's some overlap with "North Eastern US", but I feel like there are enough of us in the greater Philadelphia region alone to warrant it, and it might be more inclusive of Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, etc.

For those who aren't sure, here's Wikipedia's article on the Mid-Atlantic States.

Would love one in the Rocky Mountains. Something like Denver, CO, Laramie or Cheyenne, WY.

Could we add a group for India? I'm visiting Bengaluru next week and with a few days spare, if there are any Dyxummers who fancy joining on an overnight trip to one of the national parks for an evening and morning safari Id' be glad of the company and happy to split the cost of a lodge in the park

I've met a few Dyxumers over the years ... usually an ad-hoc get together that one of us has organized. It's been several years now though. Always nice to put a face to username!

Are many of us on Instagram? A couple of Dyxumers I have met in person are over there too ...

I think that India deserves it's own topic, it is a subcontinent after all and a popular Dyxumer destination.

Reword your request following Bob J's OP so a new topic could be started

Think you mean Bangalore I refuse to use the other name

Sorry Simon of missed your posts previously (need to make sure my subscriptions are working).

We tend to use the meeting threads for residents and visitors - note the way I've used some of the US threads recently (and the Australian one in the past).

I will get onto this ASAP!
