by the way, Samyang posted this on their Facebook page just now:
"Samyang - Asia Samyang 24mm F1.4 Canon, Sony release will be delay to April instead of early March. The delay is to improve the quality of the product. For 24mm Nikon AE will not be impacted. It will be available on early March." |

Strange justification. I wonder if they're trying to add on some sort of electrical communication so that Steady Shot will function? I heard they did/will add electronics to the Canon version - not autofocus, just some sort of communication with Canon bodies.

I like them though not sure if I like it more with the a77 or a900... Looking at it full res/size - how does it compare in your eyes with other lenses you have of similar size? |

I just have the Sigma 24-70, but later on...I might be able to get a hold of a ZA24 to do some comparisons |

Ken, Though your suggestion is interesting and welcome, I didn't mean to "put you to work" on some one by one comparison. My curiosity will be perfectly satisfied with just personal impressions compared to your Sigma. Questions come to mind are if this lens is a keeper if you will prefer to use it over the Sigma, etc. On my monitor your images are looking very good. The one you linked to a full size has a slight green CA around a white patch right of the cowboy's head - (easy to fix) |
