I think that's perfectly alright eightballrj, because the topic is silliness. Enjoy your Friday...

Ok ok... back to the topic sorry. I had to let some silliness out since it is Friday and all.

That too already exists unfortunately... it's called iPhone. The screens sensitivity is so poor that I pray for rain sometimes when I'm only able to use one hand to type. It's so bad I end up just licking my fingertips before using it now... P.o.S. phone/screen.

I think there may be something wrong with your fingers... or your iPhone.

Michael Jackson got flamed for holding his (at least that's what he thought) baby with one hand!

Yes, but I believe his baby was hanging out of a hotel window. Mine was safe at home on my sofa, so don't fear.

"Photographers will be able to try out Sony’s new range of products featuring its Exmor CMOS sensor. These models excel in capturing exceptional detail in lowlight, with two separate new shooting modes that reduce image noise when you’re shooting in challenging conditions. Anti Motion Blur mode will show its worth at the Twilight Football events, superimposing six frames to produce crisp, composite images with less subject blur. The aptly-named Handheld Twilight mode also grabs a high-speed burst of six frames, combining them to create a single optimised image with dramatically reduced noise levels."

This sounds like point and shoot. I am not opposed to this development on Alpha, it's just the language of the article makes me think it's likely some point and shoot that they are talking about - not Alpha cameras

i left out the last sentance, beacause it seemed unimportant, i guess it is to you.

'Sony’s Alpha range packs powerful specifications into an entry-level DSLR, perfect for people taking their photography habit to the next level. '

they are in the same paragraph, but not nessecarily related, so i guess we'll have to wait and see.

Those features are awesome in the Sony HX1 super-zoom P&S. I would freakin' love to see them implemented in a dSLR. I would think it unlikely based on the article wording, but we haven't seen a 'new' dSLR yet, so there's still hope.

Just on Sony Style US web site registering my new A330. If you register to the site, and then go to register a camera, in the drop down box for model i started to put DSLR and the drop down menu shows up with a list of cameras, including a A500, A550, and A850 model. Perhaps they put it on a little too soon?

I think the A850 deserves a new thread! That's great news!

Look at twilight_2.jpg.

5140 x 3414 = 17547960

17.4 megapixels - would you expect that out of a Handycam? I doubt it.

twilight_3.jpg

5272 x 3752 = 19780544

Interestingly the ratio is less than 3:2 so maybe it was cropped left and right. So 3752 * 1.5 = 5628.

Theoretically it could've been cropped out of a:

5628 x 3752 = 21116256

Certainly, it does not look like Canon or Nikon noise handling.

twilight_1_004.jpg

4097 x 4097 = 16785409

That exceeds the maximum height of the A900 sensor, which does 4040 pixels in RAW!

However, the noise reduction look reminds me a lot of my Sony Cybershot W-190 (as opposed to the A900). So I guess we'd see a high-resolution Cybershot with either multi-shot stitching or multiple-exposure for stitching instead of noise performance (into hi-res, which the HX-1 doesn't do as far as I know). Whatever it is, twilight_1_0004.jpg promises some amazing dynamic range!
