Very nice review and wonderful pictures, the video explaining the operations is a very usefull: clear and easy to follow.
A couple of questions: - if I understood it correctly the pictures are shot RAW and directly converted to JPEGS in Lightroom, no PP? - at page 3 there is a picture at ISO 1000, is there a way to manually get this "unusual" value or was it chosen by the auto-iso of the camera? |

I have never shot with another DSLR than my Alpha 200, only once did I have an A700 in my hands. Many of you are more experienced, so tell me please - from different reviews it seems to me that A580 has never never been so interesting from the point of marketing (A55 etc + NEX being at the top), but at the same time it is an oustanding camera, maybe the very best traditional APS-C Sony camera (in terms of IQ, not comparing to A700's handling). Am I right?

At one point, you accidentally made a 85/1.2 from the 85/1.4 Zeiss lens... Granted, the 85/1.2 from Zeiss indeed exists as a non-AF version, but not for Sony and I doubt you meant it.

@jenik.nk The a580 is indeed the very best DSLR APS-C Sony camera.
