Francis,

Why abandon an old friend when clearly you both are at one with each other?

Fabulous image and worthy of being taken on much more exalted equipment.

Thanks for sharing and best regards, Neil.

Superb image, and no need to abandon the A100 when you can still produce images like this. TFS

Beautiful! The a100 is a very fine camera, and especially so in the hands of a very fine photographer.

Wonderful photo!

The A100 was my first camera. I decided to sell it last summer, send it to KEH for a pittance or donate to a local school. The moment I grabbed it, it felt like coming home. Every button, every curve was at the right place on my hand. I remembered taking it to parties, my first trip to California... all kinds of memories. So I'm keeping it. I can't do much with it now since its batteries won't charge anymore, but I think a part of me is happy it's always at home, even in a box.

Fabulous sunset Francis. Much to like about this image, composition, colour, simplicity.

Have you considered one of these?

Thank you, that's a good thought.

Having had a chance to reflect, I worry on some level that if I were to actually turn it on its age would show (low light performance, slow AF) and spoil the happy memories. I think the sound of the beercan slowly hunting is permanently ingrained in my subconscious
