Really like your first there Leo, as if you are cicling the earth in a space ship.
All these day 7 and 8 pictures really motivate me to start participating, only 12 more days and I'll jump in here (nothing in my bag to do that sooner )

Fun shots! Thanks for posting, and thanks for the reminder about the Day Prime challenge. I should just buy an 8mm fish just to get that different look from time to time ...
Unlike Week 50mm, I believe I *cannot* shoot my NEX for this. I'd like to shoot my 16mm on the 16th. My next option is Day 28 on my A55 or A700. Can I get a NEX waiver? |

Great Darosa.. this is really a beautiful effect. Do you get that horizon turn in it by facing the lens up or down (more or less the same way as a "normal" wide angle)? Only than fisheye gives turns and normal wide angle that it falls in or outwards. I hope I make sense.
Would love to join but my first prime is 50mm I do have a 10-20 though.. but I suppose that is not allowed. |

Well, the first 4 shots are taken with a NEX-5N so I suspect the use of the NEX is allowed. I certainly hope so: I plan to pitch in with the 16mm and 0.75x adapter on the 12th ... |

Well, the day prime thread is about lenses first and you know that occasional NEX shots are OK on Dyxum as long as you don't overdo it and A-mount is your 'regular' mount. My Rokkor 7.5 on A-mount is really a no go so I used the NEX for that lens. So: no problem in this challenge, as long as you don't overdo it. And of course: should you produce a masterpiece with the NEX, it will never make our weekly (A-mount only) Exhibitions. |

I read you Jet . Yes, the fish-eye is fairly normal when you keep it straight with the horizon but you get extreme distortion when you don't, as you see in the photos. It's the same with wide angles, but wide angles are not as extreme. We (the AMAE's) have had discussions about allowing zooms in this thread and imho the consensus was that zoom ends (if taped )are allowed: so show us your 10mm and 20mm shots please!

I was trying to figure out how to calculate Day Numbers in Excel. Ended up Googling this calendar. Hope this helps with your planning!
