That thread is locked. As for the rumor, I have my doubts. If it's possible to make a system with that many sensors (let alone cross type) and it can be made to work well, it could be very interesting though. |

Any bets about release dates? Thinking it may be time for a new body.

I bet by the time the pro level full frame SLT is out, with its translucent mirror and 'perfected' for video AF system, all the reviewers will be saying "why are Sony trying so hard with this 'old hat' integrated video stuff? What we need is a 'pure' photographic tool!".

The latest says FF A77 with no new features, which is actually mildly disappointing to me.

Full frame with improved AF and ISO performance is enough for me to spend an additional $300 over the current a77. I don't think there is much else wrong with it. Maybe two memory slots?
I believe Sep-Oct 2012 is the rumored date of announcement. If it's not officially announced by then, we'll at least have some realistic rumors in what to expect. |

It would be great if they improved the buffer, added tethering and two card slots.

Well, if the A99 does not have an no-AA filter option, many will jump ship to Nikon if this is true

Admin - Not sure if this is the right area to post this. please move if inappropriate.
Just noticed this on the Sony Alpha Rumours site and wanted to know what users here think of the proposed price of the A99. For me I think it would be a steal at L2000 with all those proposed features. |

I paid L1600 for my a900. I paid more than a lot of people did.
I realise that the bank of england printing money is to blame, but I still find the increase(!!!) in price of a what is a camera shaped computer difficult to comprehend. |
