This is local punk-rock band The Uncultured; and my wife befriended them back when she worked at a pub. On Friday night they had a gig at Slumland and I figured it was an ideal tip-top time to see if getting a Beercan for "low light stuff" was a good plan or not*.
#1 (with Minolta 50mm 1.7) ![]() 50 mm, f/1.7, 1/60, 1600 #2 ![]() 105 mm, f/4.0, 1/160, 1600 #3 ![]() 105 mm, f/4.0, 1/200, 3200 #4 ![]() 75 mm, f/4.0, 1/200, 3200 #5 ![]() 150 mm, f/4.0, 1/200, 3200 #6 ![]() 105 mm, f/4.0, 1/160, 3200 #7 ![]() 100 mm, f/4.0, 1/200, 3200 This is the cream of the crop and looking at the settings I may have been better off taking just my 100mm Macro, running it wide open and pulling back the shutter to 1/160, then dropping the ISO to diminish the noise. But I've also been shooting a lot of film recently and grainy shots dont bother me as much these days ![]() * No it was not a great plan. For gigs with terrible lighting anyway |

For me these are all quite dark. #5,6,7 are noisy, although that doesn't bother as much as the darkness.
