    Posted: 04 September 2011 at 19:59
At this moment there are over 1000 entries in Dyxum Themed Views. Of course there are many doubles, because some subjects each already have over 20 entries (with about 15 pages each!).
Taken that into consideration there are over 800 different subjects (statistics gathered by bms44974 (Brian))
One can easily imagine that older threads are no longer found and overlapping new ones are created instead.
That all makes it difficult to find the thread you want to add your fine picture to. Creating a new Themed entry is a way that was used in several cases, causing doubles and very similar threads.
Enough numbers. It's clear: we need an index.
It's also clear that setting this up requires some work. Especially because it will always be 'work under construction', given new entries are created all the time.
Anyway, if we manage to re-use existing entries or even make finding existing threads easier, such index is already very useful
So let's start it of with the most popular threads and add the others later.
For the most popular threads I've also added the first appearance (first). So you can dwell in history and also check what the OP had in mind with the thread.

Thank you! Very useful!

One small comment - maybe it is better to have the latest open thread of each subject. For example, you linked to "Show us some birds...47", but it is already closed and now "Show us some birds...48" is running.

As said it's work in progress
I'll repair this one

Index links updated according to best knowledge and belief

The limiting factor of image quality rather will be the inability of the photographer than the clearly distinct shortcomings of the camera ;-)
