Dear Dyxumers,

After counting counting all votes thrice I am pleased to announce the photo which won the competition this time - quite tough I have to say because the winner and the first HM are only one point apart and if only newbies were allowed to vote both shots would be in opposite order! But there can be only one - to quote a phrase from an old movie - so here it is:

"Squash Dance" by fem2008

The Honourable Mention award goes to:

"Entrance into my dream" by svjetlana

and

"Pepper" by sergiu.mihu

Congratulations to the winner and the HMs and thank you all for voting and participation in this DPC ...

Happy shooting,
MiPr

I found this theme so challenging, I tried several a ideas, but had nothing worthy of posting by DCP deadline. There were many excellent entries for this DPC, so for all who managed to get an entry posted.

Also a bigger for the winner and HMs.

Big congrats to fem2008: love the intimacy of your squashes.
I also like the simplicity of sergiu.mihu's pepper.
I am very happy to be in such great company.
Thanks to all of you who had put your time and effort to vote and participate.
Kindness and compassion

Really nice images! Congrats!

There are so many other good images in this contest! This was indeed a b&w fiesta! Sensuality, organic shapes, no colors to mess around with geometry, perspective, texture. It's interesting how shapes can create emotions.

Congratulations again to fem2008 and svjetlana!

Wow, this is totally unexpected! I have been away for a while and it's nice to find this surprise.   I am excited and glad to be with great company. Congrats to all . I am sure the votes were very close. Did I mention this was unexpected? (Ok I promise not to pull a Sally Field on you )

Thanks to all who participated, voted and especially to MiPr for his work.
