Dear Dyxumers,

Vote counting have eventually been finished and I am pleased to announce the best photo of the photo (or rather much more than just "photo of photo" and this is, I believe, why it won - fantastic work).

"family potret" by onsplekkie

As usual we have also Honourable Mention awards which go to:

"Memories" by napo

and

"Torn" by sydknee

Congratulations to the winner and the HMs and thank you all for voting and participation in this DPC ...

Happy shooting,
MiPr

Thank you all so much for these kind words.
I feel happy seeing this picture chosen as winner.
I have strong memories about meeting with these beautiful lady's, high up in the Zanskar mountains of India.
I was there, while my wife Ilse and 2 daughters, Lilou & Kaya where still back in Holland. Seeing them in the hands of these beautifull women just brightens my day!

Greetings,
Maarten

What a fine winner!   In fact, I had a strong feeling the Family Portrait would do well here. Bravo!

And of course congrats to the HMs too.   (Not to forget the mods and admins that make it all happen ..)

Missed commenting on this one. I thought it was a lovely idea for a DPC and the winning shot is a great photo that's about the subject but so much more, as well. The HMs are great too!
