Right now, we are working on electronic M42 to Minolta AF adapter.
The new adapter will have chips inside to enable you to use auto focus confirmation. The new products will release on about April 15.
Because there are lots of friends on this forum, I can give special offers to all people from this forum. I will post more information when they are ready.

I am building up a mailing list for this item. If you are waiting for the news, you can send email to haodafu@yahoo.com with a title of
"M42 -> Minolta Waiting List"

I will send an email to you when the new stuff is ready. I will keep the email address as private and will not share them. I promise you that you will receive no more than 5 emails from me. :) I hate spam too.

Best,
Haoda

I think that an M42 converter with auto focus confirmation and that does not need to be "adjusted" with sandpaper to have a proper focus at infinity will be just a winner.

Good quality is important, I think that photographers understand this :-)

Thank you again!

Greatnews I am in!
I have like 6 m42 lenses and the electronic confirmation will be very helpfull for me.

A question, with focus conf you mean, we will get the red sopt when lens is in focus?
And I hope this adaptor will focus to infinity as well.

Haoda what would be the arround price?

Really great news and thanks for that!

Does this make AS work with this m42 adapter?
Focus confirmation on the 5D is in bottom lefte corner, a green dot.

IF the body "sees" there's some lens on it then there's no reason that AS wouldn't work...I've heard that AS works with m42 with focus confirm...so this step is more than some good news as many of us have some m42 lenses, for sure...
Thanks Haoda. Great job

I don't use a lot of M42's, but I do have a CZ 180/2.8 and a Tak 35/2 that I'd like to use, but can't focus with old eyes. Count on another customer!

I'd be very interested if the adapter allows setting of, and communicates, the focal length to the camera. I would love to have AS working with these lenses. If the price is reasonable it might be worth while buying several and just leaving them on their respective lenses.

Can't wait for this - will make my Fujinon 400/4.5 so much more useable!

...and if the price is right, would agree that buying several and keeping them on the lenses will be tempting.
