No, but there will be next year, which is when they say that the second body will be released.

I like the left hand function knob on the A100. Couldn't imagine doing that stuff with menus and buttons.

Just keep the knobs of the 7D and (first of all) those beautiful Minolta colors. This is the most inportant to me!

AmPhot this week has a newsbyte about Sony officials on tour around Europe removing the little cards with the CX designations on to avoid any interpretation that they would be the names...

A new Sony at Jun/Jul would be great, lets hope it's not the same time isue as with their other gear tho, I ordered a sony 1.4 TC from a store here in sweden (Feb 12) about 2 weeks after it was for sale in US, and still it hasn't arrived to any store in sweden, my new and 4th delivery date from the store is april 24.. :/

And this isn't even a new toy, just a minolta TC with a new name on it and they can't deliver in time... sigh.

If I had bought it from US instead from sweden I would have gained about 25-30 USD, if I should order it today from US I would gain about 140 USD so it sucks sometimes :/

The first next introduction be will expected in June or July. There will only be introduced one of the two models with some new Lenses. The second model isi planned for next year, supposedly during the Photokina in Cologne.

[...]Well-informed sources at Sony the Netherlands told to the redaction of this Internetsite that meanwhile there is a try-out version of CX62300 present in the Netherlands. According to this source people at Sony already talk about Alpha-300. The current Alpha-100, has had the workname CX62100. "

Translation from a Dutch guy.

The barbarian translation is pretty bad :)

Allow me to recap the most important bits of the article.

CEO president europe has discussed the 2 new models of the sony DSLR range during a press conference on Rhodos.

He said that the 2 new models will expand the current offer from sony.

Interesting bit (and new for me) is that he has told the world in the past that a brand should have at least 5 DSLR models to be taken seriously.

First model would be introduced in june/juli together with some new lenses. The other cam next year, propably photokina.

The working name of the mockup models would be :
pro-sumer    : CX62300
professional : CX62500
Appearantly the marketing names have not been decided on.

According a source within Sony Netherlands there would be a working prototype of the pro-sumer cam in holland at the moment.
This source also claims that the marketing name would be Alpa-300.

As I look back over my life
I am struck by postcards
Ruined snap shots
Faded posters
of a time, I can't recall
