A big press release will be sent out the 9th dealing with the new DSLR's coming out this year from Sony. I just spoke to the East Coast Sony Rep. here at the bike shop I work at. He wouldnt give me any details, but he said he can talk about stuff after the 9th...thats all I know right now. I want my full frame chip!!!!

So a student and a bike mechanic scoops over 3000 other members!

If your predictions are right unturndown, then 9/7/07 will be a day to remember.

Yeah, write the year the right way, and it looks better   7/9/7   now that is a very minolta looking date. Or a Boeing Plane. Actually the big roll out for the 787 is I believe 7/8/7

I like 7/9/7 for a date.   It's like a Maxxum 9 sandwiched with some good luck.

Oh well. Still, just for the record, we have to consider this as random and un-supported as any other "I talked to a guy" post. but still, we are rooting for this one.

Yeah I know it seems like a unsupported post, since its my first post and all. But I have been reading these forums for like a year or so now, just to keep up on the news with new models so I can finnaly go digital. I got a HTsi Plus like 10 years ago, got some flashes and lenses. I shoot alot of bmx and skating, so I need a full frame chip for my fisheye and other wide lenses.

I didnt want to switch to Nikon or Canon. So I got a Maxxum-7 after I found one for cheap, and figured Ill use it til Minolta came out with a full frame chip camera, then they stopped making cameras and Sony picked it up, so ive been waiting ever since.

The owner of the bike shop I work at lives down the street from the Sony Rep and we got a 40" LCD for the bike shop to display Mtn bike videos and show the Tour de France this summer.

Once I heard about the Sony Rep this spring I have been talking to him everytime he has came in. Before he didnt know to much but like 3 weeks ago he went away to a big meeting about the DSLR's and some other products, and he said he would give me some info when he got back if he could. He came in today and I asked him if he had any new info on the DSLR's and he said if he told me he would have to kill me. The guy is really easy going and super nice to talk to about other sony stuff, but not about this until after the 9th. So Im super excited. I hope a full frame body comes out.

Ok so thats my background, I dont know if that proves anything but I wouldnt be lying about this at all. Ive been waiting just as long as you guys for these new bodies. I just hope this guy doesnt make a fool out of me infront of all you guys, becuase I totally believe him.
