It's alive, ALIVE!
Finally, one of these webistes was bound to make a mistake (which I consider this is) and show us something! A somewhat ugly thing though, for some reason I like the two dials of the A100 better...maybe I need some time to absorb the shock... Thanks for the link! |

alpha 700 sounds like a logical name for the 7D successor ! PS : this sounds more 'real' somehow http://www.dyxum.com/dforum/forum_posts.asp?TID=19868 anyhow : well spotted !! Edited by g.r.f. - 05 September 2007 at 16:39 |

Unfortunately, the pop-up only shows the A100. But it's nice to see that the Minolta naming system (3/5/7/9) seems to be revived...
That's even better than A100, A10 and A1. Regards, Josef. Edit: I just remarked, that the same flash is used on the DSLR sites of Sony Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, and not only in the Czech republic. Edited by josefnemecek - 05 September 2007 at 16:50 |

I'll be damned. I was sure they were going to call it the A300. Kudos to Sony for keeping with the Minolta naming conventions. So does that mean that the A100's replacement will be the A500? And the Flagship the A900? Let's hope so.

well, that's a good question. maybe, but I think that the name should be planned way ahead of releasing the cameras. So Sony probably has thought of a system... but, it's strange to call the amateur camera 100 and the AA 700... |
