Dear Dyxumers,

I'm pleased to announce THE winner of the DPC #61 "Hands" which is (somehow I knew this will be the winner)

"Put a Bonnet on It" by wross

We also have two Honourable Mention awards which this time go to:

"Writing hands" by Reddevil

and

"Temper [A Self Portrait]" by dogears

Congratulations and thank you all for voting and participation in this DPC.

Happy shooting,
MiPr

All too often I enter a photo in these contests thinking "that's not bad at all" and then someone (or several someones ) posts a pic that clearly blows mine out of the water. Wross's photo is a case in point -- and a well deserved winner. Congratulations, Wross and also to the HMs.

Was that a set-up shot, Wross, or a good capture at the right moment?

Well done Walt, great picture, I think this was probably taken at the same time as your 'old codger' series was it ?

Incidentally is World domination your aim ? POTW now DPC61, time you received a handicap. Come on mods arrange it please.

Roy

p.s well done to the runners up.

Congratulations to Reddevil and dogears on two fine photos.

Apparently some of the knowledge, help and encouragement Ive gotten since joining Dyxum this past January has actually sunk in. Im a little stupefied at winning a DPC. Thanks to all who voted and to all who contribute their efforts and knowledge every day here. Thanks too for the very fine comments above, from photographers I respect very much. I appreciate them greatly.

The prize for connecting the dots goes to Roy -- you are correct. I was shooting a bunch of American Revolution re-enactors (Revolting and Codger Wins the War), and this young lady was one of the re-enactors. I was trying for the hands of some fiddle players, when I noticed this image developing nearby.

Hah! Um, not quite yet! Considering the records of DPC victories and POTWs accumulated by some here (not to mention any names ), Ive got a bit of work ahead before I can start dreaming of World domination.

Thanks again, all.

Walt

Same for me when I assisted with the selections!

Congrats, however, to the Honourable Mention awardees.
