Dear Dyxumers,

This time we were voting on all 26 entries in the contest and the voting was a close race between Klick-Klack ("Applied Nuthematics") and Klick-Klack ("Rough Calculation")

This race was undecided until the last votes appeared but finally Klick-Klack won with Klick-Klack (but only by a whisker)

Ladies and Gentlemen, Dyxumers, I'm pleased to announce that THE winner of the DPC #71 "Math" (or "Maths" if you are a purist):

"Rough calculation" by Klick-Klack

Congratulations to the winner who is awarded the Golden Dyxum Patch.

As usual we also have the honourable mention "award", which this time goes to

"That's light" by Micholand

and

"Trigonometry" by rowivision

Congratulations and thank you all for voting and participation in this DPC.

Happy shooting,
MiPr

Congratulations to Klick-Klack and Klick-Klack. Seems you are your best competitor! In my role-playing life, like in dungeons and dragons, it were always the hardest fights when magically there was a copy of oneself that you had to beat.

I just realised, that the three photos above are very different from another, thats a nice example for how to deal with a given topic.

And all of 'em are from Germany. Seems the Germans are liking Maths

A big hand to Klick-Klack!

First and second place is well deserved, both entries are excellent!
And I think this has never happend before in any DPC that it was somehow clear who will be the winner, but at the same time not what will be the winning shot finally "Rough Calculation" or "Applied Nuthematics"

But there's even more to it than that: Ok, winner and runners-up are all from Germany, but as far as I know at least two of those three are engineers as well

/Micholand

The limiting factor of image quality rather will be the inability of the photographer than the clearly distinct shortcomings of the camera ;-)

First let me say thank you to all who have voted for both of my entries.
I'm very happy to have won my first Dyxum contest ever,
even though in the end it also was a tough competition against myself with my two pictures.
I'm also enormously pleased to receive the Golden Dyxum Patch, again thank you very much!

Congratulations to Micholand and rowivision, too.

@rowivision: Yes, it is also interesting for me, to see how all the other
photographers do see the world around them with their cameras and
especially do interpret the same topic in a photo competition totally different.

LOL, Klick-Klack just cheated using LENS in his shot!! :)))
I wonder how did I missed voting for this DPC? So sorry about it :(((

I like Klick-Klack's pict very much, looks like it well deserved 1st place. I also would like to cheer up Micholand and rowivision, guys you was very close (well, perhaps Micholand's pict was bit closer :))

Congratulations everyone :)
