Dear Dyxumers,

This time counting votes turned out to be a fascinating task: it is not very usual to observe close race of three excellent photos: DaveK's "Far below zero", kleptolux' "Origin of Mankind", and glad2badad's "Shared Solitude". Initially "Far below zero" was leading the group, but the remaining two all the time were so close behind that the leader could feel their "breaths" on its back. Towards the end of the race "Shard Solitude" took over the leadership and it was very close to winning but the last few votes favoured DaveK's photo and so he will become the proud owner of the Golden Dyxum Patch:

"Far below zero" by DaveK

The runner-ups get the Honourable Mention award:

"Shared Solitude" by glad2badad

and

"Origin of Mankind" by kleptolux

To give you an impression how tough the race was here are points each of the Great Three earned:
* "Far below zero" by DaveK - 88 points,
* "Shared Solitude" by glad2badad - 86 points,
* "Origin of Mankind" by kleptolux - 81 points,
It was so close that I had to double-check my counting to not make any mistake.

Congratulations and thank you all for voting and participation in this DPC.

Happy shooting,
MiPr

The closeness of the result shows how strong each of these three images is. Congratulations to all.

Well done all 3 and congratulations, and especially DaveK to pull this one off so close.

You can now proudly show off your golden patch at the next dyxum meeting .
Mind the bandwidth of others, don't link pictures larger then 1024 wide or 960 pix high, see here

Congratulations Dave. A late birthday surprise.
This will be a nice surprise to see once you return from holidays, or even better when you check Dyxum during your holidays.

Congrats to all!

Cause to the final score was so close my proposal is to give to the three finalists the Golden Patch!

What do you think about?
