Dear Dyxumers,

Counting of all votes is finished and so I am pleased to announce the winner of "Contrasts" DPC:

The winning photo had two strong competitors which get Honourable Mention:

"Winter trees" by dilettante

As usual the winner will get beautiful and shiny Golden Dyxum Patch.

Congratulations to the Great Three and thank you all for voting and participation in this DPC.

Happy shooting,

First of all Iíd like to thank to those who has chosen my photo in final selection from bunch of other beautiful photos and also those who voted for my photo. Sure I didnít expect to be chosen in final selection, so wining that DPC is a nice surprise for me.

Congrats to all other photos. In my opinion honorable mention should also go to 'Strange bedfellows', because that photo represent contrasts in technical and context aspects. In my eyes it was winner from the moment I saw it in DPC topic.

Of, course Iíll proudly wear Dyxum golden patch!

Thanks again!

Congrats all, there were many very good finalists so winning or getting a HM here is a true sign of quality.

@bear, if I look at your picture I see some context contrast as well with a cow yelling at a human. The golden patch is fully deserved!
Mind the bandwidth of others, don't link pictures larger then 1024 wide or 960 pix high, see here

Yeah, that yelling cow really makes the picture, with his tale flying up. Extraordinary photo. Love the two HMs, as well.

Classy winning photo. Who said cows were actually funny? Indeed, they are, and the atmosphere in this photo is simply great.

It's nice to be right for once! . My picks exactly.

Congratulations bear, and to dilettante and svjetlana of course.

I would love to know the circumstances in which you took that photo, bear. Was it a chance encounter or did you manage to pose it in some way? (although I have no idea how you would). One (very minor) quibble -- a shepherd tends sheep. Cows are looked after by a cowherd .
